Donna Metzler, M.A., J.D., Secretary, is an educational consultant. She earned an undergraduate degree in speech pathology from Marquette University and a graduate degree from Northern Illinois University.
Donna worked as a speech pathologist in the Chicago and suburban public schools before becoming a school administrator. Donna earned a law degree at the University of Illinois and practiced school law for ten years. She has broad experience in elementary and secondary education program planning and policy development and implementation. She consults with school districts in the areas of early childhood, special education and curriculum. For 15 years, Donna has served as a volunteer English language tutor at the Dominican Literacy Center in Aurora. Donna has also served as a volunteer with Chicago Legal Advocacy for Incarcerated Mothers (CLAIM) and is on the governing boards of a health services agency and an educational foundation.
