Maria Ugarte-Ramos, M. A., Vice-Chairperson & Chair of Technology Committee, received a Master of Arts Degree in Social Service Administration and Certification in Health Administration and Policy from the University of Chicago and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from DePaul University's Scool for New Learning.
Maria has nearly twenty years of experience in non-profit management and over fifteen years of finance experience from corporate America. She is an immigrant, social worker, trainer, write, advocate and long-time family caregiver of several members of her family who have suffered cancer and stroke. Maria is the founder of the FAMA Bilingual Center for Family Caregivers and and the Preseident and CEO of FAMA Enterprises, LLC, a company that provides translation, business writing and consulting services. She is an adjunct faculty member of DePaul University's School for New Learning where she teaches lessons about the elements of successful non-profit agencies and how to transition into a non-profit career. She also teaches a course on Caregiving and Wellness.
