Renny Golden, Professor Emerita, Northeastern Illinois University, Co-Founder, Co-Founder of St. Leonard’s Adult High School and St. Mary’s Adult High School, as well as, the Chicago Religious Task Force on Central America.

She is the author of seven books, the most recent of which Blood Desert: Witnesses, 1820-1880, University of New Mexico Press will be published in November 2010.  Her previous book War on the Family: Imprisoned Mothers and the Families They Leave Behind, (NY:Routledge), 2005, was a finalist for the C.Wright Mills Award.
